Guangzhou China, May 10, 2011 - Recently, the financial reports in Q1 2011 revealed that most of the companies gain huge profits lately, but few of them still suffered deficit as they did in 2010. According to the listed companies, the data showed the recovery of pesticide market of this spring. But it's difficult to draw the conclusion so early due to the serious overcapacity, hiking price in raw material and stricter industry policies.
Owning to the good performance, enterprises have planned to expand their business scale in a variety of forms. Lianhe Technology announced to involve in phosgene industry and raise money for its new technical and intermediate projects of pesticides and pharmaceuticals. Jiangsu Changqing intended to set up a new pesticide subsidiary, and Guangzhou Geolong announced to invest millions of dollars to build a new factory in Zhuhai. Noposion was approved to found its "Guangdong Provincial Engineering R&D Center of Eco-friendly Pesticide Formulation" by Science and Technology Department of Guangdong Province. FMC, set up its Asia-Pacific Headquarter and Innovation Center in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Shanghai Pudong New Area on 30 March 2011, intending to expand its chemical market in China and better support its business in Asia-Pacific area.
Another two pieces of worthy news to be concerned were new policy made by Hainan Government, which would soon be released to strictly manage the pesticide dealing in Hainan Province, and China's soybean and rapeseed planting area in 2011 are predicted to decrease.
